♥ ♥ ♥ Elzyii Pffff Dramione for life!!!! Men lovar ingenting. D: 96hpevanescence MEN JAAAA! Chapter 2. Draco had an aura about him that emitted confident, even on his bad days. And the worst – or best – thing about it was that he had no idea about it. He always walked confidently out of the elevator and smiled just as confidently at his receptionist and at the night nurse who was on her way to leave. The façade to fool everyone worked its best magic on himself. He steered his steps into his office and just as he was about to close the door behind him he heard Mrs Parker answering a call on the floo network. He got curious but his curiosity never got the best of him. He would eventually find out if any plans were to be changed as the day progressed. A change of clothes later he started overlooking his workday as he straightened the sleeves on his healer outfit. He lay his wand on his desk while reading through the schedule and notes regarding his tasks for the day. Compared to yesterday there was hardly any work and he figured he could owl his mother for lunch as he saw the gap around lunch time would give him a sufficient amount of time to sit down and talk with her properly. A knock on the door disturbed him just as he put the quill towards parchment meant for his other. “Mr Malfoy?” A sweet voice asked. “Come in,” he responded and the nurse, Miss Jones, slowly opened the door and peeked in. Her gaze quickly moved to the parchment he had attempted to start writing on and back towards Draco. “I’m very sorry to interrupt you. Mrs Parker told me that she had a last-minute patient for you right before lunch seeing as you were the only healer available that time. Considering the gap in your schedule,” she told him with an American accent. “Thank you for the information, Jones,” he said and smiled at her. She blushed and closed the door after her when she left, just about the time it took for Draco to roll his eyes at the intern. He rose from his chair and tucked his wand into his robe and left for morning tea and his first patient for the day. A permanent resident at the third-floor department for Potions Poisoning. “Oh Healer Malfoy! Did you find another set of bottles for me?” the man on the bed asked Draco as he poured the right amount of antidote into a phial for the man to drink. He had happened upon an insanity potion many years ago during the second wizarding war and hadn’t gotten an antidote fast enough for the effects not to be semi-permanent. Some days were better than other for the man but he was unreliable enough for them not to be able to provide home care to handle his distribution of potions. “I’m sorry I did not, if I do I will bring you some. They are very hard to come by. I could ask a nurse to check more thoroughly?” Draco suggested. “No, no, no. Those nurses are so rude,” the man replied. “Alright mister, I’ll see what I can do. Now drink up,” he ordered and handed over the phial and watched as the man did as he was ordered. “Thank you. Thank you! And before you ask. Today is better. I haven’t felt weird since the last antidote. You did say it was a new one, did you not?” “Yes indeed. The other healers and I have been conducting it, most other antidotes and potions are handled by the ministry.” “Do you think it will work?” the man asked cautiously but beamed all the same. He was clearly a bit over enthusiastic and Draco couldn’t blame him. He did the opposite actually – he understood his reaction completely. “To be fair, I have no idea. We’ll hope for the best, won’t we?” “At this rate I will do anything to get away from here! No offense healer Malfoy, but it’s quite boring.” Draco almost snickered but kept quiet at the words the man had chosen to say. “Any other things you think I should document, are you feeling worse in any way?” Draco questioned. “No! Apart from not having my bottles.” Draco scribbled words down onto parchment that was clasped onto a wooden board with a metal clam. He checked some boxes regarding the man’s health status. His condition was good and the antidote wasn’t to be administered again before thirty-six hours had passed barring if something drastic were to happen. Draco doubted it, considering the man had just been able to go twenty-four hours without the antidote that Draco Malfoy himself had put a stamp on. Many of the healers weren’t so invested that they had actually helped in brewing or testing any potions but it was all-the-same a team he worked with. “Good, I’ll see you again tomorrow.” Draco almost forgot about the patient that had been scheduled into his gap before lunch until he had taken his robe off. Quickly he had put it on again and went to the waiting room with the patient’s journal in hand, there had been no one there awaiting him. And thus, he asked Mrs Parker where his patient might be. She finished writing something onto a piece of paper before looking up on him over her glasses. “Nurse Jones sent her into room number four, she needed to lie down.” “Did nurse check for any symptoms?” Draco asked. Mrs Parker raised an eyebrow, which made Draco turn his heel and move his feet towards the room numbered four. He knew that the receptionist thought him to be a moron even if she did not say it right-out. “Why would nurse check for her symptoms? She has better things to do than run your errands you pompous blonde brat,” Mrs Parker muttered under her breath. He shoved the door opened with his shoulder whilst opening the journal he was carrying. “Ah Miss…” he was about to say but was rudely interrupted. “Oh for Merlin’s sake!” a sharp voice stabbed him right through the air, the woman in front of him got up from the hospital bed quicker than he’d thought possible and darted through the door. He stumbled after, baffled and muffled. “I demand another healer!” The woman cried at the receptionist who shot her a sympathetic look. She seemed to completely understand that the woman didn’t want that healer. Draco wasn’t exactly surprised, some of his patients during the years as a healer knew that he had been a death eater and had reacted in similar manners. Some were too polite and figured out that he was kinder than his reputation. Others, like the resident who had been poisoned by the insanity potion, he’d have to win over from being opinionated. “I DEMAND IT!” the woman rapidly repeated when Mrs Parker didn’t see to it immediately. Mrs Parker shot a glance in Draco’s direction and sighed heavily. He’d have to bring Mrs Parkers behaviour up during the next fair-treatment meeting they were going to have. 2 jul, 2020 21:15

NYTT KAPITEL!!!! IIIH ♥ ♥ ♥ Chapter 3. Draco did his very best to disconnect from the feelings that threatened to move from the bottom of his stomach up to his throat. The thickness slowly thinning as it was tossed aside to a closed of section in his mind. He focused his gaze on the woman standing in front of his receptionist. The woman looked rather unravelled with fury. “I’m sorry dear”, Mrs Parker started saying, “there is no other healer available and according to the symptoms you spoke of earlier and seem to be having, you need medical care right away.” “Do you realise who I am?” she hissed between teeth. Her voice full with venom. “Yes, Miss Granger, I do. I’m very sorry but that does not change anything. We believe in equality here at St. Mungo’s.” Draco almost snorted at Mrs Parker’s words. Equality his ass. But she seemed to respect those equality rights, the staff and her workplace too much to reveal her biased opinion. “Clearly,” the brunette spat and shot a rude look in Draco’s direction. An unsaid “not” hanging thin in the air. “Please follow healer Malfoy into room number four, otherwise we’ll have to force you,” Mrs Parker said calmly but the wand she grasped in her right hand revealed the seriousness of her threat. Hermione spun around on her heel and started walking towards Draco and passed him quickly and as he turned to close the door she had sat down on the hospital bed again. She was clearly on the edge. “So, Miss Granger,” he started politely, yet a bit uncertain how to act. He’d seen her plenty of times over the past six years since they had shared their final year at Hogwarts together. Them being the few students who returned to complete their studies. “How are you feeling? Are there any particular places that hurt? Anything in your mental state you think is amiss?” Those were normal questions to ask. But he could sense that she was angered. Not by the question but more by the man asking those exact questions. He sat down on a spinning chair and noted “anger” with a question mark. Not sure if it was an actual symptom or just her hatred towards him causing it. He’d find out, he supposed. “Stomach,” she replied coldly but seemed nervous. He noted that too. Hermione Granger’s emotions seemed to switch fast. “Does the pain increase? Move around? Spread?” “Not at the moment no.” “Then I must ask what happened?” “I was having breakfast at the ministry like any other day. I had a cup of coffee, having been up all night,” she sighed and he was actually surprised that she opened up to him. But as much as he knew that a full story with all information was needed to make a conclusion or at least try and find answers – he knew that she knew it too. “It didn’t quite help, and I just kept feeling worse, so I was going to drink a potion of caffeine. But I grabbed the wrong one and when I was trying to put it back I managed to push the shelf so that it failed the weight. All of the potion bottles fell down into the sink,” she paused and a rose tint spread its way across her cheeks. He scribbled the change of mood onto his note board and the blush if it could have affected her body in any way. He was also scribbling down her story. To fill in loops if he would find any. Hermione was ashamed of the mess she had made of her office bathroom but so very mad at being stuck with the ferret Malfoy and that he was the one to hear about her flop. He must think she was a stupid, careless, little magic-stealer of a mudblood. But if he thought so – he didn’t say. “I assume they exploded because of chemistry chaos and that you, unfortunately, managed to breathe some of the fumes?” “Yes,” she admitted and met his eyes as he looked up from his scribbling. She quickly let her gaze fixate on her hands again. “Do you have a list of the potions you kept?” Draco inquired but all he got was a shrug. The frizz she had worn for eight long years had been tamed by hair remedies and her silk locks bounced as her shoulders moved. “It wasn’t my collection of potions,” she said and shuffled on the bed. “Well, one of the symptoms I’ve noticed is an unsteady hysteria. Low and high alternately.” He said and put her folder with her name down onto a desk. “I’ll get the antidote for that right away. And I’m afraid the rest will require some blood samples and other tests.” “Hysteria?” she screamed when he barely been able to finish talking. As if she had considered what the hell he had just said. “I am not hysterical!” she exclaimed. He wanted to raise an eyebrow in enquiry but thought better of it. He didn’t want to offend or antagonize her. So, he got up and was about to depart the room when he looked back at her. “Please wait here, Miss Granger, while I receive the supplies.” MH MH MH MH The potions room was well-guarded with two spells and a charmed key. Mostly so that potion addicts wouldn’t stumble upon them. Draco liked to keep the room neat and everything was sorted in an alphabetic order. Having worked here for the last four years he knew exactly where his things were. He plucked two bottles from the shelves. One containing an antidote to common poisons and the other containing a remedy for uncommon poisons. Even if they did nothing to cure Granger of her symptoms they wouldn’t be harmful. He relocked and, on his way, back to the number four he grabbed a set of needles and phials. It felt necessary to research what in Merlin’s name the girl had gotten into her system – and as fast as possible. When he pushed his way into the room again she was lying on her side, eyes closed, “That took enough time,” she muttered and sat up again. “It’s worse.” Weird. It was just potion fumes after all and shouldn’t have caused such pain, maybe delusion at its worst. If Draco was worried, it didn’t show. “Stomach still?” Draco asked quickly. “Yes,” she replied whilst accepting the potion Draco offered her. She inspected it cautiously before taking a sip and then downing the entire bottle. He scribbled onto her file about the increase in pain and what potions she had been given. “Any difference?” he asked as he peered up at her again. She was looking at the wooden board, trying to catch a glimpse of what he was writing. “My head feels a bit lighter and clearer now.” Draco nodded with a faint smile. “That’s very good, better than I had expected,” Hermione arched her eyebrow at him. Was Draco Malfoy seriously concerned about her health condition? She’d have laughed at him if she wasn’t in so much pain. He was just another hypocrite to her. She groaned by the surge of pain going through her stomach, extending its way from her very core to solar plexus and down towards her hips. Draco quickly put down his folder and rose from the spinning chair and hurried to her side. She lay down again and held her arms crossed over her mid-riff. Eyes closed in pain and mouth lined to try and keep focus of her breath. “May I?” Draco asked as he approached and held her hands up in question. She looked at him through squinted eyes and wanted to refuse but couldn’t help but nod. He carefully pulled her shirt up so that he could touch her belly. Faded scars and cuts donned the hidden skin underneath and even though he pushed back the sickening feels that was rising inside of him it was deeply saddening to see these scars. He felt guilty of them. If Hermione Granger noticed – she didn’t say. He carefully started putting pressure on her stomach, pushing lightly in different directions. All but not noticing how smooth her skin was. She shivered from his cold hands or perhaps the pain. “Does it feel alright?” he questioned and he noticed her mumbling a yes. All the spots hurt; none more, none less. They all seemed to hurt majorly. “UGH! Can you give me anything to help or not?” she finally spat as he started to feel how unnatural warm her stomach was starting to become. “I’ll be back straight away, I’ll hurry,” he murmured and pulled her shirt down, quickly disappeared behind the door and was back in mere moments. “The antidote against common poisons didn’t work, but you should eat this,” he said and handed her an insect. “Are you serious, Malfoy?” “Only if you despise being in that much pain, Miss Granger.” She threw him a dirt look and swallowed the insect whole. Draco had actually lied, it was to combat her hysteria, knowing that she wouldn’t cooperate in her current mindset. She seemed to be very certain, thank you very much, that she was not being hysterical. “And exactly what is it?” she asked as he poured a thickened potion onto a plate. Her tone had immediately changed. Surely knowing exactly what kind of insect she had gotten but nevertheless accepted it, in after-hand, for what it helped against. “This is Burning Bitterroot Balm, I’m going to smear this across your stomach as part of the treatment,” he explained and watched as she nodded uncertainly in understanding. She helped him by pulling up her shirt knowingly, but not too far up as to reveal anything. A red rash had started appearing across her abdomen and Draco was in a hurry to get all of the balm out of the bottle. He put the plate down next to her and dug plenty of it up with his hand before carefully spreading it. She moaned in pain-relief as he continued placing the balm over her boiling hot stomach until it was clad in a thick layer. “The instructions now are to stay like this for an hour, preferably lying down but if you have to move, for a visit to the toilet or likewise, you can.” “So, I can’t leave?” she asked and Draco wondered if he hadn’t just exactly said that, no she couldn’t move. “No”, he decided to stay instead of mocking her, “you have shown very nasty symptoms. I think you might have to stay the night.” “But I need to feed my cat!” she said and almost made it sound like an excuse to get away. “You have a cat?” He let slip as he scribbled more notes onto her journal again. He stopped his hand mid-word and almost sighed at his stupidity. He hadn’t meant it like that. She growled angrily and in pain. “Oh, shut up Malfoy! Am I not allowed a pet or what is your problem?” “I’m sorry,” he said as he placed her file neatly in the box on the wall. “Sorry for what exactly?” she sneered and held his gaze longer than she had for the entire visit. He blinked confused when her brown, amber, eyes seemed to be full of raging flames. Was Hermione Granger expecting him to apologize for something he did ten years ago? Draco’s stomach turned into stone and he tried to swallow a gasp for air. He knew very well what he had done. What he had watched happen to the girl he was now medically caring for. And he was sorry. “For being rude. Of course you can have a pet, it’s just… A cat? They’re a bit prejudicial, aren’t they? Lonely cat women and all?” It was an attempt to a joke. But as fast as he had said it he knew it was an overstep. “For your information, no, I’m not a lonely cat woman. I’m not even surprised you’re being prejudicial to be honest,” she scoffed. Draco didn’t want to throw an argument with a patient of his so he left it at those words. But the stone in his stomach kept growing. It hurt to be seen as prejudicial when he had tried for so long to be someone else. He wasn’t like that anymore. “I’ll be back in an hour for the tests Miss Granger, you can call on the nurses if you need anything,” he said to end the conversation and left Granger alone. Before he left for lunch he told Mrs Parker about Granger’s situation and assigned her to write Hermione Granger into St Mungo’s night care. She would be staying. 9 jul, 2020 15:38 |

Ja, här var det: “Do you realise who I am?” she hissed between teeth. Her voice full with venom. Speciellt sista meningen. Här får jag Lara/Jessica-feeling. Ojsan hoppsan. Kan de tvinga patienten? Läskisch. Men, men. Skönt att båda inordnar sig i rollerna. Andats in ångor! (Tur att det inte var Mirre, hihi)! Och vems potions-samling var det? (...) Hermione was ashamed of the mess she had made of her office bathroom but so very mad at being stuck with the ferret Malfoy and that he was the one to hear about her flop. He must think she was a stupid, careless, little magic-stealer of a mudblood. She would be staying. I BET SHE WOULD!!!

I NEED TO KNOW.

Love it!
